Starbuzz Sweet Melon

Unlike the Sweet Melon flavors produced by Al Fakher and Nakhla which focus on producing a Cantaloupe flavor, Starbuzz Sweet Melon is obviously a blend of melon flavors like Watermelon, Hondey Dew, Cantaloupe and possibly another melon which is difficult to directly identify. Unfortunately however, the sweet Watermelon flavor dramatically overpowers the others and what we’re left with is a very sweet overall flavor, and an over powering but more mild candy/buble-gum Watermelon. It may be possible to tone the sweetness down by adding about 15% mint shisha (such as Al Fakher) to your bowl.

Social Smoke Lime

Social Smoke Lime has a clear citrusy lime taste. There is a hint of tartness that accompanies the smoke, as well as a subtle mint flavor which only appears toward the end of a draw and affects the back of the throat most clearly. Starbuzz Marlette

Marlette has a sophisticated rich, dark, sweet, almost spicy, flavor. There are clear undertones of berry and grape. It produces a similar sensation in the back of your throat to a glass of red wine. This sensation can be accentuated by adding 4 – 8oz of merlot or shiraz red wine to the water in your hookah base.

In this series of tutorials, we hope to help new smokers (and those who’ve been sojourning from the …

Save Your Stash: The New HJ Alien Mini Phunnel Bowl

Unless you’ve been living under a rock (or have nothing to do with the global community of hookah smokers), you’ve already heard about the new HJ Alien Mini Phunnel bowl. The bowl isn’t a revolution, it’s a refinement of the hugely popular Tangiers Phunnel Bowl.
The aim is simple, smoke great—and do it with as little tobacco and coals as possible.
A full review will be coming in the near future. But for now, let’s get a quick look at how the HJ Alien compares to other bowls.

Where Do You Get That Stuff?: A Guide to Buying Hookah Supplies

I love to smoke. I do it all the time. Often times friends or relatives will stop by while I’m smoking and reading a book or getting some business stuff done. It always spawns an interesting conversation. But after I’ve explained what a hookah is, the first question is always the same: “Where do you get that stuff?”
Most people have never seen a hookah (or didn’t know that they were seeing one when they did). So, when it finally peaks their interest and they’re thinking of getting one for the …
