Nakhla Lemon

Nakhla Lemon is a candy, citrus flavor. The aroma is deceiving as it does not accurately match the flavor. But this isn’t a complaint. The flavor is easy to enjoy, not being too sweet or rich The lemon flavor probably most closely resembles the Lemonhead candy, which is sweet and lemony, but also a bit tart. This is just what you can expect from Nakhla Lemon. As with most Nakhla flavors, the natural tobacco taste is also clearly present, and introduces a dark, earthy experience to the Lemon flavor.

Al Fakher Orange

The aroma and taste of Al Fakher orange is nearly identical. It is crisp, sweet and citrusy. The taste is unmistakably orange, but it is more of a witticism of the real thing. You’ll find it more closely resembles the taste of orange soda than real oranges. There are no other flavors present, or at least obviously so. In this way it is very simple and makes a great tobacco for mixing your own custom flavors.

Starbuzz White Peach

The aroma and flavor of White Peach match almost exactly. And, unlike most tobacco, the flavor is nearly spot on. The peach taste is not a caricature of the real fruit and it’s not a candy version. Rather, the taste very closely mimics that of a sweet, ripe peach. Many who have sat down to smoke White Peach point out the flavor immediately without being told what it is. The taste is both sweet (though not sickly so) and refreshing—much like the real thing. The flavor also accurately mimics the juicy sensation of a real peach. Don’t be surprised to actually begin salivating between draws.

Starbuzz Pirates Cave

The flavour was almost like Starbuzz Margarita with a hint of added lime. It was very sweet but also a little tangy. The lime is probably the most dominant flavour. Over all very good, but still leaves me wondering why it is called “Pirates Cave.”

Social Smoke Chocolate Chill

Chocolate Chill from Social Smoke is a basic chocolate-mint flavor, like the ones produced by Fusion, Tangiers, Nakhla and a handful of other brands. The first thing you’re likely to notice is the intensity of the mint flavor. It is extremely strong. The mint sensation alone is comparable to smoking Al Fakher or Nakhla mint flavor by itself. But, Chocolate Chill also carries a chocolaty taste as well, though compared to the mint it is subtle. The chocolate flavor present isn’t a milk chocolate taste, but more of a cocoa powder or hot-chocolate mix. It is generally dark in flavor, but with a hint of sweetness as well.

Al Fakher Golden Bahraini Apple

When trying Golden Bahraini Apple for the first time, it seems most people recoil at how little it tastes like an actual apple. But with time, those who continue to smoke it learn to appreciate the complexity of the flavor. Golden Bahraini Apple has a rich, dark, almost earthy taste. At first you’ll want to liken it to licorice, but a more careful examination of the flavor reveals undertones of cinnamon and spice, paired with a subtle candy apple taste.. The flavor is warm, smooth and rich with a sweetness that doesn’t call attention to itself but supports the the complex set of flavors crossing your pallet.

Al Fakher Guava

Al Fakher Guava is a candy caricature of the real guava fruit. Most people familiar with the real taste of guava will probably notice the resemblance right off the bat. The taste is fruity and a bit tangy, but in terms of fruity flavors, much less sweet. The taste is simple, with almost no undertones. It makes an excellent ingredient for mixing with other Al Fakher flavors, such as Mint or Strawberry. Additionally, the Guava scent and the Guava flavor mirror each other very predictably.

Social Smoke Clove

Social Smoke Clove is clearly related to cinnamon flavors. But that taste is not overpowering. It really does taste very much like whole cloves (pictured on the packaging) you might use in cooking. The taste is mild, but spicy even a little smokey, and compared to other spice shisha flavors, far less sweet. If you have smoked clove cigarettes, you’ll find the Clove flavor familiar, but more smooth with a bit of sweetness to it.

Social Smoke Chai Latte

Chai Latte is an attempt to mimic the popular chai tea latte found in coffee shops like Starbucks. Social Smoke has been more successful in replicating the flavor than other brands making similar efforts, though it’s not quite there. The taste is mellow, creamy and slightly sweet, set on the backdrop of a smooth cinnamon taste. The cinnamon is has a spicy element to it, but is well balanced by a creamy vanilla flavor. However, if the bowl gets too hot the other flavors are almost completely lost leaving a potent cinnamon taste.
