Cut & Composition

Ayam Zaman Strawberry is extremely wet, dripping, and slimy in a medium-short cut dark tobacco. There are very few, if any, stems to be found.

The Set-Up

Ayam Zaman Strawberry was smoked across various bowl and hookah combinations. Most recently, it was smoked from an Al Fakher Large Solid hookah and an HJ Alien mini phunnel bowl.

The Experience

Ayam Zaman Strawberry began producing thick smoke within just a few pulls, though the flavor was available almost immediately. The session, including the full flavor and smoke, lasted about an hour and thirty minutes, and needed very little attention during smoking.

The Flavor

Ayam Zaman Strawberry, while not quite exactly like the real thing, is by far the most accurate strawberry flavored shisha that I have tasted. It is sweet and bright, with only a hint of tartness. The flavor is much like a strawberry syrup, like you might drizzle on a cheesecake. In order to truly experience the accuracy of this particular flavor, it’s necessary to exhale the smoke through both your mouth and nose simultaneously.

The Insight

Strawberry has been a big hit. Unlike competing brands, Ayam Zaman Strawberry seems to hit a chord with smokers. It feels refreshing and light to smoke—like eating a real strawberry. There isn’t even a hint of anything chemical in the taste. It leaves you feeling good—not weighed down and drowsy. Strawberry is the kind of flavor you’ll likely want to keep on your shelf all the time.

Who Should Try This Flavor

Berry flavor fans will love this one. Folks who are not as into the sweet flavors may also feel at home here since this is not a candy version of strawberry, but something much more realistic. Spice and natural tobacco fans may not be so enthusiastic, as Strawberry really doesn’t feel very much like smoking tobacco.
