Cut & Composition

Social Smoke Tropical Fruit is a wet, but not dripping tobacco. It will leave your fingers good and slimy, but not sticky. There were a handful of small stems, only a few of which needed to be picked out to make packing easier.

Price & Quantities Available

  • 100g – $10.95
  • 250g – $20.95
  • 1kg – $69.95

The Set-Up

Social Smoke Tropical Fruit was reviewed after a several sessions using various hookahs and bowls. Most recently it was smoked from an Al Fakher Large Solid with a Vortex bowl.

The Experience

Tropical Fruit took about five minutes to begin smoking as one might expect, though the flavor was available almost immediately. The smoke was adequately thick and lasted nearly an hour and half before beginning to die out. The flavor only barely began to dull even as the smoke thinned out.

The Flavor

Tropical Fruit is a fruit medley. The label shows citrus fruits, coconuts, pineapples and bananas. The flavor is definitely built on that foundation, however the most dominant flavor is definitely a banana or pineapple taste which is very sweet. Though there are a lot of flavors present, the majority of them meld together into an ambiguous fruity flavor.

The Insight

While I am not usually a big fan of fruit cocktail flavors, I can assert that this is a good one. The flavor is deep and rich with good longevity, and while it is sweet, the taste isn’t overwhelming. It’s still mild enough to smoke the entire duration of the bowl and enjoy it thoroughly. However, for my taste, with such a strong banana flavor, I’ll be saving this flavor for sessions with people I know have an affinity for this kind of thing.

Who Should Try This Flavor

Spice flavor lovers will probably recoil at this one. However, sweet and fruit flavor people will likely enjoy it. And, if you’ve been looking for something with a decent banana flavor, this may be your luck day, though it isn’t straight banana.
