Al Fakher Two Apples
Rating
[Rating:4.5/5]
Cut & Composition
Al Fakher Two Apples was significantly more wet than other Al Fakher flavors; nearly dripping. It is comparable to brands like Starbuzz. The tobacco is medium cut with a handful of small stems amidst the tobacco.

The Set-Up
This review was performed after many smoking sessions across many hookahs and bowl styles. Most recently, Al Fakher Two Apples was smoked with a Khalil Mamoon Pearl hookah and an HJ Alien Mini phunnel bowl, sealed with two layers of standard tin foil, punctured in three concentric circles around the outside of the bowl.
The Experience
The aroma and taste of Two Apples match almost seamlessly. With no extra effort, Two Apples produced larger, denser clouds than is typical with Al Fakher tobacco. As usual, the flavor followed the smoke. A very mild buzz was experienced while smoking, but the tobacco never became harsh, even without careful heat management. The session lasted roughly an hour and ten minutes. Though the smoke continued past that point, the flavor began to dull, signaling the end of the session.
The Flavor
Two Apples has a rich, complex anis flavor. When smoking for the first time, you will likely notice a licorice sensation thanks to the anis. But a more careful examination of the flavor will reveal undertones of spice and cinnamon, mingled with subtle apple tastes. It’s necessary to exhale through both your mouth and nostrils to fully appreciate Two Apples flavor, though either one in isolation is pleasant. As with most anis flavors, the sensation is dark and warming—not refreshing like a real apple.
The Insight
Some people simply do not like anis flavors. The licorice taste can be strong. But with repeated exposure, most find that they appreciate the complexity. For my taste, Two Apples is an excellent daily smoker. The flavor is mild enough so that it’s not in-your-face, but not so much so that you wonder why you’re smoking it at all.
Who Should Try This Flavor
If you don’t hate licorice, Two Apples may not be your favorite, but probably something you’ll enjoy. It’s a good middle ground between sweet and spice and will probably find widespread appeal. Provided you don’t recoil at the taste of licorice or anis, you should feel comfortable giving this flavor a try.
