Cut & Composition
Ayam Zaman Lemon is fairly wet, though not dripping, and slimy in a medium-short cut, dark tobacco. Typically about three sessions come from as ingle puck of Ayam Zaman. Be cautious when opening to avoid cuts and throwing tobacco everywhere, as the packaging can be a little tricky.

The Experience
Lemon took a little longer to start smoking than other brands. The richest flavor and smoke was available after about 15 minutes of smoking. In spite of the tobacco being touted as traditional and unwashed, Ayam Zaman produced very little head-buzz, though it may be a lot more intense for a new or novice smoker. As usual with the Ayam Zaman line, the tobacco was very resilient to heat, requiring more of it to smoke well, but also resisting changes and harshness in the process. The smoke was sufficient, but not impressive. The session lasted about an hour and forty minutes.
The Flavor
Ayam Zaman Lemon is like a spicy lemon-drop candy. The flavor is sweet, with a spicy tobacco undertone, which is present in all of the Ayam Zaman flavors—it’s not a drawback, it’s part of the appeal of the Ayam Zaman line. In this case, the spicy flavor doesn’t seem like an accident, as it sometimes does in other brands, such as Nakhla.
The Insight
Lemon tastes great. The spicy-sweet blend balances with true excellence.
Who Should Try This Flavor
