Cut & Composition

Tonic After Sex is a medium cut, extremely juicy tobacco. There are some moderately sized stems, some of which need to be plucked out to avoid any disruption in packing the bowl.

The Experience

Tonic After Sex has an aroma almost identical to that of Fruity Pebbles breakfast cereal. The tobacco began smoking within the first five to six draws. The smoke and flavor were their richest after about five minutes. The smoke produced only a very mild head-buzz. The session lasted about an hour and ten minutes before the smoke began to thin, though the flavor remained steady for another fifteen to twenty minutes.

The Flavor

Though the scent is very much that of children’s breakfast cereal, the flavor is not so much. After Sex is sweet, but not nauseatingly so. It is a berry/fruit mix with some very subtle citrus undertones. The flavor is tasty and refreshing, and though there is no detectible mint sensation, After Sex still has a cool freshness to it.

The Insight

After Sex is the perfect example of why we here at HookahReport always smoke a flavor several times, preferably in a variety of different company, before writing a review. When I first smoked After Sex I felt that it was overly sweet and artificial. Like a candy that’s good for the first bite, but you wouldn’t want to keep tasting for an hour and a half. But by the third time I smoked it, I began to appreciate it for what it is and this morning smoked it for the first time because I was actually craving it. After Sex is, without a doubt, a party favorite and seems to appeal most naturally to new smokers.

Who Should Try This Flavor

If you’re a fan of berry/citrus blends, this one is top notch. Also if you frequently find yourself complaining about how your bedroom doesn’t smell nearly enough like Fruity Pebbles. Spice and floral fans, on the other hand, might be turned off by this one.
