Orange Yorkie Mix
Remember those fantastic Terry’s Chocolate Oranges? The commercial would always end with someone slamming the chocolate orange onto a hard surface and all the little chocolate orange wedges would fall apart. Who didn’t love that? Well, add a healthy dose of mint and you can get almost the same experience in your hookah smoke.
The Mix
Begin with Nakhla Mandarin Orange tobacco. Using your bowl, measure out about 70% Mandarin Orange. Fill the remaining 30% of the bowl with Nakhla Chocomint. Empty the contents into a small kitchen bowl and mix thoroughly with your fingers. Move the tobacco back into the hookah bowl and pack it as usual.
The Flavor & The Experience
The Nakhla Mandarin Orange flavor shisha tobacco is among the most realistic orange flavors available. The flavor is comparably mild. The Chocomint, on the other hand, is extremely strong. In the right proportions, the Yorkie Mix will create a delicious minty version of a candy chocolate orange. It will smoke as you would expect Nakhla tobacco to, though remember that Nakhla can be more resilient to changes in heat than many other brands. Mixing thoroughly before packing is also very important since Nakhla tobacco is not especially wet and the flavor will be pulled directly off whatever is stuck to the actual tobacco leaf. If you haven’t mixed well enough, you may not taste the right proportions in the mix.
This flavor is an excellent after dinner smoke. It has a mild, semi-sweet chocolate taste, paired with a subtle citrus. You may see the connection between a fine dessert or chocolate truffle.
